Bentinck Street, London

Property developer, the Howard de Walden Estate, commissioned a bespoke, contemporary kinetic handmade glass artwork by Amy Cushing, installed in the entrance foyer to an office building in central London.

Uplifting colour plays a large part in Amy’s glass constructions. She is inspired by the infinite emotions that colour can evoke and communicate. Her studio work focusses on exploring the energy and rhythms of distinctive colour palettes. Her suspended works hang with a sense of fragility brought about by the subtle, slight movement of form, colour, light and shadows which arouse a gentle ethereal quality.
