The first entirely robotic operating theatre in Europe has been commissioned by HCA Healthcare at the latest state-of-the-art treatment facilities located near London Bridge at Richard Rogers new building. The top four floors accommodate private healthcare facilities. Art Projects developed an art strategy to bring vibrancy and colour to the clinical spaces, whilst aiding wayfinding and providing visual links between the floors. Helen Bridges, a Masters graduate from Camberwell College of Arts was enlisted to create digital designs that illustrate London cityscapes, iconic buildings and five key HCA facilities south of the Thames. The imagery introduces colour by botanical species that are reputed to have cancer healing qualities.
