Haematology & Oncology Hospital at UCH, London, WC1
Art Projects was selected to commission new artworks for HCA Healthcare’s state-of-the-art complex cancer care unit, a £26 million specialist haematology and oncology centre at University College Hospital delivering innovative cancer therapies including CAR-T Cell Therapy, TIL Therapy and Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplants.
The art brief was to create a calm, welcoming and nurturing atmosphere to gently engage patients and soothe them throughout their visit.
Working with local artist, Helen Bridges, a Masters graduate from Camberwell College of Arts, an iconic London cityscape was developed featuring the healthcare providers London hospitals alongside colourful healing botanicals. The designs were printed to a variety of substrates, including lightboxes, Perspex, wallpapers and privacy films for glass manifestations.
