Property developer, Telford Homes Plc, commissioned 19 storeys of suspended, bespoke, contemporary handmade glass art by Amy Cushing for this mixed-use 25 storey building in trendy Shoreditch. The piece is installed throughout the western vertical elevation, comprised of private residential homes with views of the City of London.
Uplifting colour plays a large part in Amy’s glass constructions. She is inspired by the infinite emotions that colour can evoke and communicate. Her studio work focusses on exploring the energy and rhythms of distinctive colour palettes. Her suspended works hang with a sense of fragility brought about by the subtle, slight movement of form, colour, light and shadows which gently arouse an ethereal quality.
