A bespoke suspended sculpture by Mark Maxwell located in the main entrance foyer of a new residential development in the heart of historic Soho, London. The sculpture is created from hand-sculpted lead, formed into asymmetrical, organic shapes, each individually annealed to produce a mesmerising array of subtle copper and bronze patinated tones.
The £54 million development by Dolphin Square Foundation kick-starts the phased transformation of this fascinating, varied and historic area. It creates 78 private residences, including affordable housing. The site occupies land previously owned by the Metropolitan Police as a former staff section house. The site lay vacant for 13 years after the building was decommissioned. The future now looks bright!
